Blog project 5

After viewing my blog project one last time, overall I felt this was a great learning experience for me personally. As someone who has never blogged before this project, I learned that blogging can not only be a great way to communicate socially, but it can also be a very beneficial learning resource as well. I feel this project was definitely worthwhile and a great learning tool in regards to this class. It makes me realize that there are many aspects to journalism that I would not have utilized.

I think overall this project has supported my thesis throughout. I rate it a 4.

Blog project 4

1.) information blog: www.foia.blogspot.com . This website is run by a non-profit organization working to improve public access to official information and ensure that the Freedom of Information Act is implemented effectively.

2.) vanity blog: www.parishiltonlookalike.com/blog . This blog is about a girl named Natalie Reid who obviously is a Paris Hilton impersonater. It shows pictures of her and talks about her "celebrity" appearances.

I think blogging supports both of these types of journalism because blogging enables the reader to gain specific information rather than in print media. A good information blog should be informative but not biased. A good vanity blog is really just information on the person the blog is about. I suppose there are some people who will find that interesting.

The information did support my thesis. I rate it a 4.
